Biography
Chen Shiyu (also known as Chen Xiangwen) is a 15th generation inheritor of the Wudang Sanfeng Sect and currently serves as Director of the Wudang Taoist Kung Fu Academy. He has fully inherited the traditional Wudang martial arts including Tai Chi, Eight Immortals, Taiyi, Bagua, Xuangong, and Xingyi disciplines.
In 1993, Chen traveled to Wudang Mountain seeking mastery of authentic internal martial arts. In 1996, he was selected as an indoor disciple of Master Zhong Yunlong, gaining access to the sect's most closely guarded teachings.
Chen's competitive achievements include Wudang Sanda Championship (2000), World Traditional Martial Arts Championship (2008), and World Tai Chi Health Conference Championship (2012). He has been featured in multiple CCTV documentaries and served as the Tai Chi choreographer for Zhang Jizhong's "The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber."
Dedicated to preserving and spreading Wudang martial arts, Chen has taught students from around the world and appeared in numerous media productions showcasing the beauty and power of traditional Wudang techniques.
